Umaru Fofana’s most favorite pastime is calling on everyone in President Koroma’s government to resign. In November, he was active on the internet spreading the misinformation that VP Samuel Sumana will soon resign after Samura’s sorry investigative timber documentary. Like Samura, Umaru is a pitiful journalist. Correspondents like Umaru and Samura keep Sierra Leone in the dark while pretending to confer light on national issues. They’ll rather appeal to fallacies than report on the positive strides of the President Koroma led GoSL. Regardless of the damaging facts about Julius Maada Bio, they craftily want to see him lead Sierra Leone against our national and international interest. I have lost count of Umaru’s call for others to resign ASAP. Has he ever called on any member of the SLPP leadership to resign? What is he waiting for before calling on Julius Maada Bio to resign?
It is amazing that those who lecture others on what they ought to do need to listen to their own homily. Umaru Fofana, the BBC stringer and SLAJ president is a good example. He loves to create the aura that he is knowledgeable and travels a lot. Along the way, he has picked up new information and ideas; good for him. Pretending to be indispensable, he’ll use his half-baked insights while advising his gullible readers and listeners. In his mind, nothing he says to others applies to himself and those around him. He is alright, well-mannered, cultured and above the fray. Similarly, those within his inner circle are just as good and perfect as he is. It is the APC members that have problems, issues, and they need fixing. Therefore, with a blurry pen, sticky keyboard, and static microphone, the world should read and hear his unbalanced news dispatch and bias personality counsel from Sierra Leone.

| Umaru Fofana |
During the past weeks, his focus was on the arms purchase in addition to counseling Hon. Musa Tarawally, Sierra Leone’s Internal Affairs Minister to “resign.” Umaru Fofana thinks he is bright but he is deceiving himself. Using Law 3 in Robert Greene’s book against him, Umaru’s ‘intentions’ are not concealed. That he is an intransigent campaigner to unseat the President Koroma led APC GoSL, is out in the open. That he is a foolish vigilante for the Bio ticket is as plain as daylight. So while talking about the ‘revealed intentions’ of others, Umaru should know that his, Bio, and the entire SLPP cabal actions are not concealed. Umaru please read the book for the third and humph time while focusing this time on yourself, Bio and the SLPP charade. Will you?
Because the intentions (create mayhem and destabilize Sierra Leone) of Julius Maada Bio and the SLPP are exposed, it became necessary to upgrade the equipments of the law enforcement in the nation. The lapses are being plugged resulting to the incontrovertible state that is now problematic for Bio, Umaru and SLPP members to contravene. GoSL will defend the nation because Umaru provided “enough smoke” (negative coverage of GoSL) while Bio and his thugs let loose aggression on unarmed citizens. The world sees every time Umaru turns a blind eye to violence perpetuated by SLPP members. Every time Umaru fails to be truthful in an attempt to shield the SLPP, it’s one more strike against his credibility.
Talking about Hon. Tarawallie’s unpopularity? According to updates from Sierra Leone, most can’t wait for Umaru’s voice to go silent over BBC. The barometer indicates revulsion amongst majority of Sierra Leonean journalists because of Umaru’s ineptitude, divisive leadership, and fixation on endorsing an unjust cause to the detriment of SLAJ and the nation. Umaru Fofana’s narcissist traits would become more pronounced if he fails to concede that he is at present “popularly unpopular.” It’ll be helpful if Umaru reads HIS book again. This time maybe he should stop staring at his pretty reflection on the surface, and look closely to recognize his well-formed unattractive image.
After his diatribe on the Shear-Moses report and the government’s whitepaper, Umaru cited Law 5 from his green book. Here is the quote: “Reputation is the cornerstone of power. Through reputation alone you can intimidate and win; once it slips, however, you are vulnerable, and will be attacked on all sides. Make your reputation unassailable….” Based on developments in Sierra Leone, the title with the most impact should be, if I were Maada Bio. Bio’s past reputation is destroying his slim chances of making it to November as a sober and not a sobel contender. In the 90s Bio never thought today will come. With all the revelations that are surfacing about Bio’s horrific character, Umaru is guilty of double standard admonishing Hon. Musa Tarawallie. On his part, Umaru has created the reputation of being anti-government, anti-APC, anti-development, anti-EBK and anti-Sierra Leone’s best interest. Just as Bio now has an off-putting name because of his past, Umaru’s status as an admirable journalist has fallen.
So if I were Umaru Fofana, I’ll think about my tomorrow and stop myself from going further down the path I am currently treading. I’ll take my blinders off and clear my cognitive web. I’ll stop committing attribution error by blaming the bad ‘personality’ of those I don’t like, while justifying the ‘situation’ for the individuals whose cause I advocate. I’ll see myself as part of the problem in Sierra Leone because I often act not in the best interest of the nation, but for the green party I love. If I were Umaru Fofana instead of advising Hon. Tarawallie to resign, I will step down from my position as president of SLAJ because I have compromised my neutrality, integrity, credibility, and reputation.
Yes! I’ll resign because I am more popularly unpopular than the ones I frequently advise to resign from GoSL. If I were Umaru, I’ll realize that if everyone I’ve counsel to resign had taken my recommendation, Sierra Leone would instantly become an ungovernable nation. If I were Umaru, I will recommend that Julius Maada Bio courteously exit the race because millions of Sierra Leoneans believe his standing is only comparable to that of Foday Sankoh and not that of President Koroma. If I were Umaru, I will stop being a twitch and be very thorough in my writings and stringing. Reputable individuals are resigning from the SLPP. If I were Umaru, I will tell the world exactly why. Whether he counsels Bio to resign or not, Sierra Leoneans will give notice to Bio on 11/17/12 that he is unsuitable for Sierra Leone’s 2012 presidency because of his shameful reputation. If I were Umaru Fofana I’ll fix myself and resign from the media because I am disappointed at myself for being a complete JERK. Lonta!
