Jonathan Leigh and Sorie Fofana do not enjoy a tenth of the kind of respect I command within all spheres of life in Sierra Leone; especially within three arms of Government. My sibling friendship with President Koroma pre-dates his presidency. As a critical journalist with strong opinions concerning my country, I have written things which have not gone down well with the President but, in the long run, he is still my big brother. I currently enjoy a good relationship with his mother who is herself a prayerful Christian.
Like the President, I strive to keep friendships. This is why though Jonathan Leigh had viciously attacked me in the year 2002 when I came from USA to lead Young Peoples Party, I have tried to instead focus on how it was Jonathan who used to sing my praises as a star to watch in 1994 and 1995 on the pages of Concord Times. I like to focus on the good times; not the bad.
However, such attributes of mine should not be taken as weakness. Readers should See in today Edition where I have written some ‘choice’ words for the President’s attention.
WHAT KIND OF JUDICIARY?
As a final word, I will like to ask what kind of Judiciary do we have? How can Jonathan Leigh produce the seditious material he published on his front page yesterday? Leigh and ACC Boss Joseph Kamara should be hurled in and forced to prove their words or purge their contempt! For too long now, journalists have misbehaved against the Judiciary; probably because elderly Judges have skeletons in their cupboards. Well, now, the malicious attacks on judicial integrity have been taken INTERNATIONAL. Will the Judiciary continue to allow this nonsense against its integrity?
