An attempt by sympathisers of main opposition SLPP, to demean work of Minister of Youths & Sports, Hon. Paul Kamara, has been met with stiff resistance by an ace local columnist Mohamed Kamara. The hard-hitting article recounts of SLPP’s abhorrent practise of using ill words on women inside their newspapers.

SLPP’s Internet must allow Paul Kamara to do his Job!!
Let SLPP first teach Maada Bio, Kalilu Totangi & SLPP Unity Editors about Respect for Women!
By Mohamed Kamara
Hon. Paul Mandela Kamara, the Minister of Youths & Sports in a recent motivational lecture to the young men and women of this country, urged them NOT to allow themselves to become tools in the hands of those who had hidden agenda to use them and dump them. In the area of the abuse of our female youth, the well experienced activist Minister spoke of how the era of NPRC military junta saw the abuse of our women who were sexually lured with the ill gotten gains of the young soldiers; only for them to be abused and dumped.
It is a fact that the NPRC era led by the likes of SLPP’s Maada Bio, saw a downward trend in the country’s societal values; indeed, women generally became of lesser value than before. In the face of economically trying times as a result of bad economic policies of the NPRC, some Sierra Leone women were reduced to selling themselves cheaply to the NPRC soldiers who were wealthy from plundering the Nation through shady deals like passport sales squirreled into foreign bank accounts.
The much lower social classes sold themselves cheaply (less than price of a chicken!) to the lower ranking soldiers whilst high ranking women like University lecturers well steeped in use of English language, gave themselves up sexually to NPRC senior functionaries. Some of these women were old enough to give birth to the NPRC lads for whom they laid down to be mounted upon but they lacked morals or integrity to know any better than to lie down for young sojas.

Kadie Sesay: a senior member of SLPP Cussers
Hon. Paul Kamara spoke of how ECOMOG soldiers similarly used their superior economic powers to abuse, misuse and dump our young ladies. Numerous stories abound of the ills of those NPRC and ECOMOG days. It is not a secret. So, there was nothing wrong for the Minister to have de-cried those ills as he motivated the country’s female youths to develop more self respect.
Why the notoriously rabid and stupid supporters of NPRC Julius Maada Bio’s SLPP now think they will succeed to twist the words of the Honourable Minister for their political purposes is lamentable especially bearing in mind that the SLPP chose a wife-beater and woman killer like Julius Maada Bio as their presidential candidate.
If SLPP really wants to lecture on respect for women, they should look inwards and not only at Maada Bio who took collective part in the killing of a poor defenceless pregnant woman back in December 1992. The SLPP should also look at their presidential candidate’s spokesman Kalilu Totangi who has a whole lot to be taught in this area of respect for women.
Similarly, the SLPP needs to take a look at their stupid newspaper editors who regularly splash out uncouth expletives and words of ‘WHORE’ and ‘CONCUBINE’ at respectable Sierra Leone women whilst making a mockery of themselves that they have a female running-mate. Anyway, it is a fact that the female running-mate might fall into a certain category of otherwise females over a period of time ranging from times inside Valentine Strasser’s State House parlour to SLPP latter days but more on that later.
So, Dr. Kadi Sesay probably does not see anything wrong with the language of WHORE and CONCUBINE regularly appearing inside her SLPP newspapers and official Unity mouthpiece. She honestly probably knows nothing better than whoring and concubining as acceptable tools in politics! Otherwise, there would have been no need for such uncouth words in her party’s paper. Dr. Kadi Sesay’s level of personal integrity tells her it is perfectly normal for such English diction like WHORE and CONCUBINE to be used prominently in her party paper against those the party merely has political difference of opinions with.
As for the SLPP’s Women’s Leader, I.J. Kabbah, the less I state in that direction, the better for this article.
Anyway, these are the people whom SLPP Internet spin-masters need to be looking at. These are the SLPP men and women who need lectures on respecting women. Mr. Paul Kamara certainly does not need the hypocritical SLPP lectures for merely saying the truth about how some of our women, facing economic hardship, had been abused by NPRC regime to the point of selling themselves cheaper than the price of a chicken in the market.
If anyone needs to apologise to this Nation for insulting women, it is the SLPP. But more on that aspect when the campaigns pick up and Maada Bio and Kadi Sesay take to the trail with whatever message they think they have for women of Sierra Leone! That is the time some of us will teach them what respect for Sierra Leone women really means. For now, please leave our honourable Minister Paul Mandela Kamara alone! He is ten times better than SLPP’s nasty women-abusers, their so-called first female running-mate and their insults-laden newspaper articles.
