It appears the disgruntled, frustrated and shameless old Dr. Sama Banya thinks he will drag our distinguished former President of Sierra Leone, Dr. Ahmad Tejan Kabbah into the contemptible morass in which Banya has dumped his shameless old self. I do not know where Banya got the impression that I have any issues with Pa Tejan Kabbah.

I had expressed concern over the SLBC paraphrasing the spoken endorsement of Bio by Kabbah. I had preferred for SLBC to allow us to listen to what Kabbah said but that is by no stretch of the imagination to now mean I hold anything against Pa Kabbah. Why should I disrespect Pa Tejan Kabbah? Why would I ever disrespect Pa Tejan Kabbah?

There are few Sierra Leonean Statesmen for whom I have a lot of respect. Pa Tejan Kabbah is one of them.It is not everybody within the SLPP that I have problems with. Regardless of whatever political views Pa Kabbah holds, he will continue to command tremendous respect from me. Even if Kabbah endorses RUFP, I will raise my eyebrows but I will not disrespect him for that. I have nothing but utmost respect and deep admiration for Pa Tejan Kabbah.

The old man is a member of the SLPP; He is entitled to his political views and no-one should attack him for expressing those views. Truly speaking, I am yet to hear Kabbah say Bio is “the fittest candidate for 2012 elections” and I seriously doubt if he will ever say such words. All the same, if he ever does say such words, I will respect his view.

The team I lead at AWARENESS TIMES also has the utmost respect for the former President and we respect his right to belong to any party of his choice and to endorse any Presidential candidate including Julius Maada Bio or even Eldred Collins.

I hope my position and that of AWARENESS TIMES is now clear to all especially that shameless Sama Banya who still has not explained why he tried to mislead this country that the ruling APC was facing nemesis and agonising over Banya’s cooked up registration figures for the Western Area.

Banya had shamelessly lied that Western Area  had registered over 1 millions voters in 2007. He then again pitiably disgraced himself by claiming Western Area suffered a sharp numerical loss of registered voters in 2012.

Instead of Banya explaining why he shamelessly lied, he is trying to drag the former President into the morass Banya has created for himself at the age of 82 years.

Banya is refusing to explain why he LIED about Western Area because like Maada Bio, he thinks keeping quiet when the country needs answers from you, is a cool thing to do.

The truth is that Banya’s statement was nothing but the usual bunch of shameless lies from a divisive, disgruntled, shameless and beggarly old braggart who contributed no small measure to the state of malaise this country suffered from.

In the same way, he tried to mislead gullible youths about Western Area voter figures so also does Sama Banya think he can use lies to drive a wedge between me and former President Kabbah. Let me assure Sama Banya that he is mistaken. That is not possible.
