Senior Masons of the Freetown Grand Lodge on Tuesday 5th February 2013 paid a courtesy call on His Excellency President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma at his State House office.
The Senior Masons congratulated the President on his resounding re-election and pledged to ensure he achieves his goals in his second term.
According to the District Grand Master of Sierra Leone of the Scottish Constitution Jonathan A. Thomas, the Masons started operation in Sierra Leone many years ago but that all its activities have been centred in Freetown, adding that it hope to establish one in Makeni soonest to cater for the provinces.

"We operate under the Grand Lodge of Scotland and our petition to open a lodge in Makeni has been approved by Scotland. The lodge will be named the Grand Lodge of Wusum," said Thomas.
He also disclosed that a banquet will be hosted at Bintumani Hotel and a toast will be proposed to President Koroma, and it is expected that the President will say a few words at the ceremony. Mr. Thomas said they also hope to attract other citizens in the Bombali District. He thanked the President immensely for the audience and wished him all the best in his second term.
"I know I will have very limited words for the toast", President Koroma said, and added that "whatever support I can give let me know".
