Freetown, Feb. 29,016 (MOHS) - The Ministry of Health and Sanitation in partnership with Massachusetts General Hospital and World Vision Sierra Leone have completed a research on the use of Uterine Balloon Tamponade (UBT) in the control of post-partum haemorrhage.
The Director of Reproductive and Child Health in the Ministry of Health and Sanitation, Dr. Santigie Sesay has revealed that the findings of the research will be presented at a dissemination meeting on Thursday March 3, 2016 in Freetown to discuss issues on low cost, evidence and high impact intervention for the reduction of maternal mortality in the country.
The presentation of the research results is expected to be made accessible to stakeholders at the Grassroots Gender Empowerment Movement hall at John Street Freetown where participants would have the privilege to deliberate on key issues.
