The Board Chairman of the Sierra Leone Water Company (SALWACO) Hon. Robin Fallay, commonly known as the ‘Political Robinoh’ has described President Ernest Bai Koroma as the people’s choice who is strongly against tribalism, partisan politics, regionalism and gender stereotype but supports national development and cohesiveness.Hon. Fallay made this statement on Sunday 20th March 2016 while addressing the people of Segbwema and beyond in the grand final of the Ernest Bai Koroma Gala Trophy organized at the ‘Segbwema Mini Stadium’ in Kailahun District.
The ‘Political Robinoh’, who dedicated the trophy to the President for his commitment to the development of the country and appointing young people to high positions of trust including women like Dr. Sylvia BlydenMinister of Social Welfare, Gender and Children’s Affairs, Momoh Vandy-Deputy Finance Minister, Maya Kaikai Minister of Local Government and Bai Mamoud Bangura Youth Minister etc, affirmed that inclusion of young people in governance gained momentum under the current Government.

Hon. Fallay further disclosed that he organized the gala competition to entertain and promote football, for the people to socialize in Segbwema after the end of the deadly Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) which started in the District causing the deaths of many, promote national unity, indentify young talents and informed that the 16 participating teams were drawn from various Districts including Port Loko, Tonkolili, Bombali, Bo, Kenema and Kailahun.
The Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara commended the President for appointing more women in governance and the decision-making process making the country one of the highest with about 43% female Cabinet Ministers second to Rwanda with 51% and asserted that with the President’s intention to do more, he is optimistic that Sierra Leone would soon lead Africa with the highest percentage of female Cabinet Ministers.
He reiterated that the gala competition was to promote national cohesion, that irrespective of tribe, region and party, we are all one people and that the responsibility to develop the country should be the concern of every Sierra Leonean.
The Attorney General and Minister of Justice also commended the hard work and astute leadership of the President to rally round the country during difficult times to eradicate the Ebola outbreak despite its devastating effects, applauded the ‘Political Robinoh’ for bringing his people together underlining that the huge turnout of spectators from various parts of the country indicates that Hon. Fallay is a man of his people.
A youth in Segbwema, in an interview with this medium, commended the initiative of Hon. Fallay to develop their home while Juliana Boima said that Segbwema used to be remote but that Hon.Robin Fallay is gradually transforming the community.
She added that apart from uniting Kailahun with other Districts, Robin Fallay has facilitated the supply of safe drinking water to Segbwema through SALWACO and has almost completed the construction of the Segbwema Mini-Stadium among other ongoing development projects in the town and appealed to Government to support him develop Segbwema and the entire Kailahun District.
