Members of the Parliamentary Committee on Appointments which vets all presidential nominees for their suitability, will start vetting newly appointed ministers starting next week Wednesday 30th March 2016. This was confirmed to this Presshouse yesterday March 23rd 2016, by the members of the committee shortly after their closed door committee meeting.
It can be recalled that the first batch of nominees were slated to appear for vetting on Monday 21st March 2016 but Leader of the House suffered flight delays for which the interviews were again postponed to Tuesday 22nd March 2016.
The sudden death of parliamentarian Hon. Patrick Foyah on Monday afternoon however made the next day's interviews impossible as the Speaker declared days of mourning.
The president's ministerial nominees will now start being screened at the end of March and if approved, will take up office sometime in April.
