Sierra Leone News : “The Accused Person pushed the deceased down the three-storey building,” Witness Testifies

One Alimamy Bangura yesterday 13th February 2016, was remanded at the Male Correctional Center at Pademba Road in Freetown by Magistrate Dr. Abu Bakarr Binneh Kamara of the Freetown Magistrate Court No.1 at Siaka Steven Street in Freetown for the alleged murder of one Musa Tarawally.

 

According to the prosecution witness, Osman Deen Mansaray said that he knows the accused person and the deceased Musa Tarawally. He added that on Sunday January 22nd 2017, around 12 am he was sleeping when they woke him up. He went on that they told him that the accused person push the deceased down the three storey building.

 

He added that he arrested the accused person and took him to the Ross Road police station at the Eastern part of Freetown. He went further that they also took the late Musa Tarawally to the Connaught hospital in Freetown.

 

Osman Deen Mansaray also said that he was later called that the late Musa Tarawally had passed away at the Connaught Hospital in Freetown. He added that on Wednesday January 25th 2017, he was called to witness the postmortem examination conducted by Dr. Simeon Owizz Koroma . He went on that they handed over to him the postmortem certificate.

He went further that he made statement at the Ross Road Police Station.

 

Magistrate Dr.AbuBakarrBinneh Kamara adjourned the case to Tuesday February 21 2017 and the accused person was remanded in custody.
