National Secretary General of the All Peoples Congress (APC), Ambassador Osman Yansaneh  has reacted to comments made by the main opposition Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) over the possibility of  winning the Member of Parliament vacant seat in Tonkolili district. Ambassador Yansaneh told Awareness Times Newspaper  on Monday 13th February 2016, through a telephone interview that they as a party are fully prepared to clinch the vacant seat in the coming by-election in Constituency 066.

Reacting to comments made by the Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) that with peace in their party, Constituency 066 will be the first by- election they will clinch, Ambassador Yansaneh said “the taste of the food is on the eaten.” “We are happy to contest against a united SLPP. Defeating people when they are all together, you will enjoy it,” he stated.

The APC Scribe slammed “We didn’t want to fight against a fragmented party. When you defeat a united party, the defeat becomes a glorious one. We are not worried with their bragging.”

The All Peoples Congress will hold its final rally on Wednesday 15th February 2017, and that rally will host the National Secretary General of the APC, the District Chairman and other strong party members from Tonkolili District and other parts of the country, whilst the SLPP final rally is scheduled to take place on Thursday 16th February 2017.
