Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority has debunked media report on the conducted tour of the Board of Directors on some of the facilities of the Authority.
Speaking to this medium, EDSA PRO Sahr Nepor debunked publication in the local newspapers regarding a tour of EDSA facilities in the western area by the Chairman and members of their Board of Directors.
“With reference to publication in the local media on a conducted tour of the Board of Directors, I want to make it known that the story is inconsistent and therefore does not reflectthe statement made by the chairman during the tour.”
He called on members of the media to collaborate their stories through the PRO’s desk before publishing. See below the exact story during the tour.
The newly appointed Board of the Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA) headed by the Chairman, Professor Kabineh Kororma has conducted a comprehensive tour to the Authority’s sub offices in Freetown. The tour took them to the Electricity House at Siaka Steven Street and Falcon Bridge Sub Stations.
The visit was geared towards inspecting the facilities as well as familiarizing with staff of EDSA. Professor Kabineh Koroma expressed thanks and appreciation to all staff members of EDSA for working assiduously to make power available to Sierra Leonean. He further encouraged staff members to build on the good work and join forces with the Board in order to provide sustainable, reliable and effective electricity services to all. He went on saying that achieving this goal requires dedication and willingness from the workforce and therefore called on all to work harder in order to achieve the President’s vision for electricity.
The Ag. Deputy Director General of EDSA, Dr. Henry Saccoi, commended the Board for such a venture and described the visit as a move in the right direction. He added that management is ready and willing to work with the Board in order to solidify power supply and distribution in the country.
Speaking on behalf of the staff members, Theophilous Amara, expressed wiliness to work amicably with the Board for a sustainable electricity distribution in the country. He promised their fullest cooperation and commitment at all times and in the interest of the Authority.
