Chairlady of the All Peoples Congress (APC) USA branch, Mariama Lowe Bangura is currently holding a six (6) day “Go Register Campaign” in Koya Chiefdom, Port Loko District.
Whilst speaking to this reporter, according to Madam Bangura, who is also the Vice President of Koya Progressive Association (KPA), the campaign which commenced on Monday 3rd April and ends on Saturday 8th April 2017, would encourage her people of Koya Chiefdom to come out in their numbers and to register.

She said, her campaign would be climaxed on Saturday with a football tournament between various youth teams from both the male and female sexes of Koya Chiefdom. She added, “getting the youths to register helps to push the voters registration campaign.”
In addition, Madam Bangura thanked the leadership of the APC for hosting them during a dinner held at the Lagoonda Entertainment Complex in honour of the party’s diaspora membership who are in the country to participate in the ongoing national voter registration exercise. She said the attendance of the leadership of the APC is a sign to show that the party really acknowledges the efforts used by the diaspora wing to come and participate in the voter’s registration process.
“The resilient of the APC is not only the membership but the loyalty of the members of the party,” Madam Bangura said. She added “the reason for the dedication of the APC members is because of the generosity of the leadership of the Party.”
She thanked the Chairman and Leader of the APC, His Excellency President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma for his resilient leadership role both within the APC Party and within the Government of Sierra Leone especially in empowering the women, they youths and the disables of the country. She said that was why during the dinner, she presented a globe to the President in reflection for him being the “World Best President.”
Furthermore, she urged diaspora members of the APC that since they have come and register, they need to use the platform to go to their respective villages to get their people to come out and register. She said, since they have come from abroad to register, that shows how important the process is and that they should use to get their people to come out and register.
As a result, she extends her welcoming hands of invitation to every member of the APC to join her at the chiefdom headquarters of Koya, Masiaka, on Saturday, where she is ending her Go Register Campaign.
