The Sierra Leone Women’s Association (SLWA) on Saturday 1st April 2017 organized a fund-raising dinner and dance in Virginia, United States of America for Ebola ophans at home.
The organisation is registered 501 (c) 3 under the Internal Revenue Services code operating exclusively as a non-profit organisation promoting and empowering women, especially in education and orphans in Sierra Leone.

The President of theSierra Leone Women’s Association is Zainab Sesay. Other members are Mrs. Zainab Sheriff, Mrs. Mariama Lowe-Bangura, Mrs. Lois Weeks, Mrs. Mary Kanu-Kargbo, Mrs. Roberta Sovula, Mrs. Mabinty Deen, Mrs.Minnet Sheriff, Mrs. Kadiatu Thulla, Mrs. Memunatu Sillah, Mrs. Safinatu Phoena and Mrs. Isatu Lowe-Huchensen.
Meanwhile, in a separate development, the Old Bo Boys Association Washington DC will be organizing their annual fund raising dance on Saturday 15th April 2017 at the CCC Event Hall on 11331 Maryland Avenue, Beltville, Maryland while the SLPP North America and the Washington DC Metro Chapter will be organising the inauguration of their regional executive and fund-raising dinner and dance at the Langley Park Boys and Girls Club on 1515 Merrimac Drive, Hyattsville, Maryland on Saturday 8th April 2017 with Gba Kamara and D.J. Kemzo as the Disc Jockeys.
