PAYMENT OF SEVERAL MONTHS STIPEND TO ALL FEMALE VOLUNTEER STREET SWEEPERS UNDER GOVERNMENT’S WOMEN ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME
The Ministry of Social Welfare, Gender & Children’s Affairs is informing all grassroots women engaged in the Women’s Economic Empowerment programme that the Government of Sierra Leone has secured funds to ensure they are paid in full for entire backlog of volunteer stipends owed to them for several months last year and also again for the first 3 months of this year. All volunteers will have their outstanding stipend payments be honoured. All the women will be paid in full for all stipends owed them until March 31st 2017.
In this regard, all participants in Government’s grassroots female Street Sweepers programme are urged to report at the Ministry headquarters at New England on Thursday April 13th 2017 at 9:00am to collect their outstanding sums of stipends.
Prior to disbursements of cash, all grassroots women will be addressed by both Honourable Minister Dr. Sylvia Olayinka Blyden and the President of Women’s Forum Mrs. Maude Peacock.
All affected grassroots women are urged to please be at the Ministry on time this Thursday.
