Addressing pressmen during the donation exercise, at the Barracks Police D. Division in Kissy, Mr. Charlie Williams disclosed that as part of the instructions given to him by his mother was to help those in need especially Muslims in the last 10 days of Ramadan adding that this year, he thought it necessary to replicate what he has been doing over the years. He noted that before the start of the rainy season and Ramadan this year, a group of people from different Mosques and youth groups in Constituency 100 now 118 in Thunder Hill and its environs, approached him with a request to help renovate their place of worship, to which he has duly complied.

He also said that he has donated three bags of rice to the APC party leadership in the East End of Freetown with a parcel containing money, two bags to the LUC in Kissy D Division plus money, and dozens of cups of rice to vulnerable individuals in the two constituencies and beyond.

Charliesco as he is fondly called stated that as a proud member of the ruling All Peoples Congress (APC) Party, their Leader and Chairman, His Excellency President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma has always called on them to help their people in pushing the country forward.

He however expressed his wish to represent his people to the Well of Parliament come 2018 through the APC party. He called on Muslim religious leaders to always pray for President Koroma, himself, APC party and the nation. He ended that the APC is a result oriented entity and the people should continue to entrust the leadership of this country to the APC party for continuity of the development of this country via President Koroma’s Agenda for Prosperity.

Chairman of Masjid Fattah II Hassan Kargbo thanked Charlie Williams for such a kind gesture and prayed to Allah for the blessings of this Ramadan rest upon Charliesco. He vowed that they will always have him in their prayers and support.

Sheik Mohamed Sillah of Majid Muhagireen, hailed the religious tolerance Charliesco has manifested over the years to the present. “I have never seen a generous Christian to Muslims like Charliesco. Less than a month ago, he gave us 10 bags of cements, here we are again today, may Allah bless him!” said Sheik Sillah. He continued that, though he is not a politician, he will campaign and vote for APC and Charliesco if given the symbol and they will pray that the APC gave him their symbol.
