Sierra Leone News : As Human Resource Staff remain Kicked Out and all Transfers are Legitimate... Social Welfare Ship is Cruising Peacefully

Loyal and patriotic staff of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Gender and Children’s Affairs have dismissed recent media reports that the Ministry was in turmoil and a state of chaos.

Rather, they reveal that the Ministry under the steer of Hon. Minister Dr. Sylvia Olayinka Blyden, has been cruising along peacefully and in tranquil despite the antics of certain officials within.

MSWGCA Senior Staff in Northern Region smilingly pose around Head of Region, the blind Mr. Kabbakeh Noah. Disability is not Inability.

“Those staff whom are refusing to obey legitimate transfer directives, are only misleading themselves,” said a senior official of the Ministry adding that “others who were sent to assist the Minister but have transformed themselves into enemies of progress are now seeing that the Minister is very focused and not going to be distracted”.

Meanwhile, the Minister who has not publicised the reasons for which she kicked out the Human Resource staff from her ministry, is reliably said to be waiting for Mr. A.R. Bayoh who heads the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) to publicly say anything against her.

“That is the time the world will know how best to handle a senile old fool who is past his expiration date in the civil service,” a friend of the Honourable Minister remarked.

This newspaper is reliably informed that a piece of malicious advise given to the ministry this week, has been rebuffed and roundly rejected by the Honourable Minister.

Multi-sectoral negotiations, led by newly acting Assistant Director for the East Ms. Doris Mansaray, are ongoing to institute a Children's Remand Home for Eastern Province in this ideal compound

Efforts to reach Mr. A.R. Bayoh to interview him have been fruitless. He will answer the phone and give funny excuses that he is busy or that it is past working hours.

Similarly, the Hon. Minister Dr. Blyden who was reached late last night for comments simply said: “I have no comments for now. Let us see how things unfold. What I am sure of is that I have a task through the Constitution to build and lead a team which can deliver on our social contract with citizens”.
