The place was St. John’s Parish Church, Kailahun. The occasion, the funeral service of Honourable Alice Foyah. The mourners were a who is who of politics in Sierra Leone. APC Secretary General, Osman Yansanneh, Resident Minister East, Willian Juana Smith, Deputy speaker, Chernor Bah, Minister of Water Resources, Momodu Maligi, Labour Minister, Matthew Teambo, Logus Koroma and a host of APC MPs were united with SLPP Chairman, John Benjamin, Brig. Julius Maada Bio, Dr Kadi Sesay, SLPP MPs and other officials in grieving for the departed MP. Alice had not only managed to bring SLPP and APC together at her funeral service but also at all the preceding ceremonies. Charles Margai and his PMDC were also very well represented at these functions.

“LIKE CHARLES MARGAI, LIKE MOUSSA IBRAHIM!!” PART 2
Charles was astute enough to calculate that such posturing would ring alarm bells at the United Nations’ headquarters, the White House and US Congress, ‘No. 10 Downing Street’ and British House of Parliament, to name a few of the contributing agents who had spent hundreds of millions of dollars to stabilize the country. The threat had its desired and sobering effect for it alerted and alarmed stakeholders who pressurized the Kabbah-led SLPP government to behave appropriately. The seemingly cold calculations by Margai also hinged on the fear-factor he knew was embryonic in the body-politic as well as minds of the average war-weary Sierra Leonean.

“LIKE CHARLES MARGAI, LIKE MOUSSA IBRAHIM!!” PART 1
(This article, first published in 2012, is being reproduced to give lie to barefaced dishonesty and infantile bumbling antics I strongly believe epitomize character traits of an attention-grabbing and confrontational Charles Francis Margai. The negative connotations the ludicrous and destabilizing utterances nutshell should not be trivialized even though a seemingly false bravado Charles loves to clownishly strut about with can safely be ascribed to an insatiable urge to revel in being the cynosure of eyes – even if they are crossed-eyes or squinted ones.

Bobson Sesay is “Embarrassed”
Dr. Alfred Bobson Sesay, the former Minister of Lands under the erstwhile Tejan Kabbah Government, who was also widely known by the nickname of BOBSON BROKE OSE, is currently embarrassed; just as he was “embarrassed” exactly six years ago to today’s date (May 15th 2007).

PRESIDENT KOROMA DESERVES A “THIRD TERM”
Much has been read into the various views on a possible third term for the President. The debate has been quite animated, generating considerable controversy. The Press release from State House was as hazy as it was definite in what it said.

Charles Margai is not a Political Prisoner
The arrest and detention of Charles Francis Margai over the weekend is an interesting twist to what is already a messy situation made untenable by the fractious grounds on which Mr Margai has positioned himself.

Intellectually unskilled politicians; who they are and what they stand for? [Mirroring Charles Margai’s Satanic Statement]
This article was first published in September 2012 and I think its reproduction is imperative as Charles Margai’s satanic statement reverberates the essence of this piece. Having rendered himself a political liability and essentially trashed himself into the relics of political and legal history, Charles Margai is now bent on manipulating some of our brothers and sisters in order to bring carnage to a nation that is still healing from a decade long war.

CHARLES MARGAI’S WORDS CURRENTLY BEING INVESTIGATED BY THE POLICE:**Areas of High Concern to Citizens have been highlighted**
"..I said "Ernest is not my brother: I am Mende-Sherbro; Ernest is Limba-Temne. I am Margai; Ernest is Koroma," We are not brothers and the lawlessness, I think, is right in his house. If he cannot control that, then we will control it. So please, don't bring triviality into this matter.

FINANCE MINISTRY, AGENCIES AND THEIR MONEY PALAVER
Balancing the budget is not an easy task for the Finance Ministry as it scrounges around to squeeze something out of every conceivable revenue source. That the Ministry recently demanded that agencies, especially regulatory agencies pay all licence and other fees directly into the consolidated fund is therefore not surprising. Some agencies like NATCOM and the Sierra Leone Environmental Protection Agency(EPA-SL) do generate considerable revenue.

Why President Koroma’s visit to the UAE was so significant
I read about President Koroma’s visit to this region through news dispatches by our Saudi Press Attaché, M.B. Jalloh, in our online newspapers. The coverage was comprehensive, informative and timely. For President Ernest Bai Koroma and his formidable entourage to visit the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was a very good opportunity for Sierra Leone; after their historic trip to the United States of America.

“This is not a law on the books that causes damage. This prevents damage”: We Need Criminal Libel Laws Until We Can Enforce Libel Insurance!
All citizens of Sierra Leone are entitled to protection from malicious slander & libel. The Public Order Act of 1965 grants the right to seek redress in a court of law if one suffers from libel. Too many citizens have extensively suffered from slander and libel at the hands of unscrupulous journalists and it is time to push for the utilisation of these laws against such journalists or in the alternative, to implement recent suggestions by President Kabbah.

Security and insecurity discourses : Private Security Agencies and Insecurity in Sierra Leone
THIS ARTICLE IS HEREBY PUBLISHED ON POPULAR DEMAND Unemployment is often a very topical and highly debatable issue in the academia, at the international level and amongst policy makers. Nevertheless, it's startling and absolutely astounding that underemployment is hardly heard of or is rarely brought to the fore. Although the International Labour Organisation has painstakingly codified fascinating employment rules and regulations with the aim of mitigating exploitation of workers the world over, yet the problem persists.
