Time to take Sierra Leone back from Lying Hate Mongers
Sadly, these fellows (Umaru Fofana and Sorie Fofana) are not Mendes neither Temnes but they keep on stoking these tribal sentiments to serve their hidden motives to perpetuate chaos in our country. My Journalism Journey reaches a Stage in Sierra Leone
I have always said that I intend to go back into active political life. So, as we get ready to enter the new year of 2013, let me announce formally that I am preparing to leave the world of journalism and re-enter politics. In what capacity will I be re-entering politics? It will all be made known in the fullness of time. Whatever the case will be, I will always be a journalist & rights activist at heart and my pen will continue to flow its ink for peace, democratic values and truth; albeit this time in a different capacity.

Still on Wicked & illegal Police Detention of Four Supporters of SLPP’s Julius Maada Bio
In the early morning hours of today Tuesday December 4th 2012, at just a few minutes past midnight, I had cause to personally leave my house and go over to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Sierra Leone Police along Slater Terrace by State House, to verify for myself what seemed to be an unbelievable development going on in this beautiful land we call our Sierra Leone. Before going further, let me point out that I have reproduced on this page, a front page article I first published last Thursday. After my publication, I did not follow up on the matter because I assumed given the gravity of what I had brought to light, the authorities would have speedily acted to ensure further abuse of the rights of these four persons, did not happen.

The Detained Maada Bio Supporters...Calling on Police Hierarchy
Some Kenema based supporters of Julius Maada Bio, the former opposition presidential candidate (I say, former as we no longer have presidential candidates but a duly-elected sitting President) are being held in detention at the Freetown CID police cells, on allegations, which they claim as baseless. I am speaking of the matter of employees of Julius Maada Bio’s erstwhile TROPIKAL FARMS who have been detained past the constitutional 72 hours. James Connor Kallon of 68 Dama Road, Ibrahim Sesay of 87 Dama Road, Mohamed Turay and Ibrahim Koroma are all being held in Freetown police cells on suspicion of plotting to destabilise Kenema with violence. They managed to contact me from their detention yesterday November 28th 2012 and are appealing for their sorry plight to be made known to the wider public. They vehemently deny allegations that they planned to attack a military post at Joru, Kenema.

Sierra Leone Opposition Presidential Candidate brings negative face of killings and stealing to his party
Whilst the main opposition presidential candidate is playing smart by calling on his supporters to ignore what he terms as APC Vuvuzelas whom he claims are suffering from mental problems, the editorial team of his official SLPP UNITY newspaper seem to believe that the way forward is to continue to bash at independent journalists using uncouth language. One Kef Dukulay of UNITY PAPER has sent an SMS text message to the publisher of this newspaper that come tomorrow Friday October 12th 2012, the official SLPP newspaper will be launching another of their useless IMC-endorsed untruthful and vicious reports about her. Another SLPP man by the name of Tennyson Bio, believed to be the brother of the presidential candidate, made similarly uncouth false writings yesterday on the world wide web on behalf of Julius Maada Bio.

How Fine really was Sierra Leone Health Minister in Tackling Health Issues?
It is still not quite clear just how fine Sierra Leone’s out-gone Health Minister has been at her job. As published last week, under her leadership, the Health Ministry deliberately suppressed the news of the extent of the Cholera Outbreak in the country for reasons which are still unclear. The case of poor Kenema district being mis-labelled as being Cholera-free by both the Health Minister and her team is one strong piece of evidence that will show how fine she really was whilst in office. Awareness Times is today reproducing a commentary we first ran in March this year.

Playing Politics with Cholera in Kenema Sierra Leone?
There is an ongoing deception being practiced at the highest echelons of the Government Ministry of Health & Sanitation (MOHS) seemingly in collaboration with officials of the World Health Organisation (WHO) in Sierra Leone. This deception has seen a deliberate policy of suppressing the facts about the Cholera Outbreak in Sierra Leone particularly in the Kenema District. If the MOHS and WHO official information is to be believed, Cholera only struck Kenema this week and nobody has as yet died from Cholera in Kenema. However, these are blatant untruths. Cholera has been ravaging Kenema for at least three weeks now with deaths recorded right at the Government Hospital in Kenema City.

If the Almighty decides my time on this earth is due to be ended, nothing will stop me from dying so why should I be bothered when cowards threaten me with death like Dele Giwa? Finally, unlike Julius Maada Bio and other NPRC Killers, I have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING secret to hide which I am ashamed of. You can search my past as much as you like. You will find absolutely nothing in there for me to be ashamed of. I am an upstanding citizen, a self-confident woman and a true patriot who knows right from wrong.

Our March 16th-19th Opinion reproduced today to help Dr. Sama Banya who seems not to have read it; going his persistent call for Awareness Times to describe Tom Nyuma as a ‘Buffoon’. We don’t know between Nyuma & SLPP who is more of a ‘buffoon’. Because if an ordinary ‘Buffoon’ could fool SLPP for two years, then SLPP must surely then be full of Big Double Buffoons.

Too Smart to be Distracted - Sorry Guys but it is Squirrel Question Time
If President Ernest Bai Koroma could take Maada Bio (an accused extra-judicial brutal killer & accused corrupt human squirrel) with him to attend an ECOWAS Meeting in Burkina Faso shortly after Koroma was elected, why should Koroma not take Bangura, one of only three current presidential candidates, to Senegal? Is Bangura a leper? Certainly not to the members of the UDM and President Koroma is smart enough to start making his alliances now and not when it will be too late.

Sierra Leone Independent Journalists are Safely and Proudly Back in Freetown from Peaceful Jendema
I am writing this piece at 04:00am of today Thursday March 1st 2012. We just returned back from Jendema having left Freetown on the night of Monday February 27th 2012 on an independent journalists' fact-finding mission. It has been informative with lots to report on. For example, Saturday February 25th 2012 was the day of the disturbance in Jendema. According to numerous Town Elders [I must state I have not cross-checked this], it marks the 30th anniversary of the date Sullay Ndorgborwusi and others started the insurrection against former President Siaka Stevens in Jendema in February 25th 1982! If true, this is amazing ehn?

I sent a correspondent to you on Monday NOT because of what you wrote (the paper had handled that) but because we got a bitter complaint from the Interim Leader of the RUF Party, Mr. Eldred Collins, that you and other named SLPP members had been going around former RUF ex-combatants indigenous to the South-East and telling them to prepare to re-arm and defend the South-East. Eldred Collins angrily produced several former RUF recruits for Awareness Times who told us that you had personally reached out to them with a message for them to prepare to fight again. This was the only reason why I sent my correspondent Augustine Samba to you so as to get your own side before we ran or discarded the story.
