Afsatu Kabba’s Seventeen Counts Week Continues
This week’s attention focussing by the Awareness Times on the 17 Counts charges levied against Haja Afsatu Kabba on March 15, 2010 continues in today’s edition. The charges investigated and prosecuted by Glenna Thompson and Abdul Tejan-Cole last year were alleged to be bogus at the time. Please turn to Page 3 for our article first published one year ago on March 16, 2010. Our coverage continues throughout this week as we will subsequently take a look at each and every single one of the seventeen counts for which Haja Afsatu Kabba lost her job.

SPECIAL REPORTS : Afsatu Kabba
Summary of Evidence Submitted does not support Indictment of Haja Afsatu Kabba
Freetown, March 16, 2010 (One Year ago): Count 1 and Count 2 of the Anti-Corruption Commission’s 17-count indictment against Haja Afsatu Kabba are identical in nature to Count 9 and Count 10. They all reference a $3,000 dollars allegedly solicited and collected by Madam Lilian Lisk from her Chinese Business partners to allegedly bribe erstwhile Fisheries Minister Afsatu Olayinka Kabba to license Chinese boats. Well, one might be tempted to assume that there are two separate incidents of $3,000 allegations but the SUMMARY OF EVIDENCE submitted does not support this.
