Maada Bio’s Priorities are Redundant: Sierra Leone President ls Already Dealing With the Youth Issue & the Economy
Apparently, the flag-bearer of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), Julius Maada Bio, does not really know what is going on in Sierra Leone. Apart from his reluctant acceptance of his role in extrajudicial killings in the worldwide-listened BBC ‘Focus on Africa’ programme, and his blatant lies of saying the SLPP built 700 kilometres of road from Freetown to other countries while the APC has only done about 3 kilometres (which in reality should actually be the reverse), the rat-like cornered former junta leader actually exposed his ignorance of the solid socio-economic foundation currently being laid in Sierra Leone by stating that his priorities would be youth employment and the economy – because, according to him, “economic growth will never materialise while Mr Koroma presides over at best incompetence… bla bla bla” – with Chatham House evoking the picture of a scene in ‘Baa Baa Black Sheep’!

Sama APC-SLPP Banya’s Nauseating Hypocrisy!!!
Dr. Sama Banya joined the APC to terrorise his fellow Kailahun and Eastern citizens BEFORE One-Party state was imposed! For those who are shocked to read the preceding sentence that Banya was part of the APC team who KILLED the SLPP, please be today informed that in 1978, SLPP might not have been killed via APC’s One-Party State had it not been for Sama Banya who used raw brute force to crudely intimidate the likes of honourable men like late Hon. I.K. Foday and other SLPP stalwarts to forcibly cross-over from SLPP to APC so as to KILL THE SLPP in 1978.

Foday Sankoh, Sama Banya and the Yamoussoukro Talks : A Look at Sierra Leone History which some might wish to revise for the young ones
Let Banya wait for my Part 2 of Charles Taylor: Sierra Leone’s Scapegoat to know whose Yamoussoukro comment I was referencing. In the meantime, I hope Banya read and digested yesterday’s piece by retired Police Superintendent Tayyib Bah. According to Tayyib Bah, “of the 20 or so RUF combatants that accompanied Sankoh to the Yamoussoukro Peace Talks, only one, and even that was a female, was a Northerner/Temne. The rest were South easterners.” Tayyib Bah also predicts:- “until we accept responsibility for the barbaric manner in which we treated our kith and kin and atone for our sins, God, or retribution, will bring “punishment for [our] errors upon sons and upon grandsons, upon the third generation and upon the fourth generation.” Exodus 34:7

The belief that the South/East is the stronghold of the SLPP was ostensibly debunked last weekend when thousands of Easterners came out to welcome President Dr Ernest Bai Koroma first in Kono and later in Kailahun. APC Signs Book of Condolence for SLPP’s Dr. Soyei
United Nations diplomats recently met in Dakar, Senegal to re-echo the concerns of U.N. Security Council and UN Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon for Sierra Leone’s political party leaderships and the Government to increase dialogue and cross-party actions as confidence building measures. Whilst the Government has since been on the right footing in this regard, the main opposition Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) has been recalcitrant towards such moves creating concerns amongst observers. Thus, it would be a source of satisfaction to U.N. diplomats to learn that yesterday May 9th 2012, the Vice President Alhaji Samuel Sam Sumana, top executive members and ministers of the ruling All People’s Congress (APC) party were welcomed as they visited the main opposition SLPP Headquarters in Freetown to sign a book of condolence for the late Dr. Anthony Kakpidi Soyei, a senior member of the SLPP.

Sama Banya inspires Part 2 of 'Charles Taylor: Sierra Leone's Scapegoat' - coming soon!
My original article is being reproduced as a direct challenge to Sama Banya’s sanctimonious nonsense he published on NEW PEOPLE. It is also a very direct and open challenge to those certain South-Easterners (not all) trying to mislead the world about the true origins of the RUF War. I have thrown the gauntlet! Sama Banya and his company should prepare for Part 2 continuation of this my firm stance very soon! Some of us are sick and fed-up of these charlatans trying to twist History to suit their political agenda. Only highly dishonest persons from the South and East of Sierra Leone will try to debate the factual nature of the contents of my original article which I will now reference as Part 1 of a serialised article. So, if these charlatans think I am intimidated by the nonsense from Banya’s pen about I.T.A Wallace Johnson and pearls and swines and Albert Margai and blah blah blah, let these shameless attackers wait for the Part 2 which I will publish shortly on my return to Freetown.

It has been 51 years since we gain independence and Presidents, foreign heads of state, ambassadors, diplomats, NGOs, and officials from UN & other organizations, and ordinary Sierra Leoneans have commuted mostly by ferry when arriving and departing Sierra Leone. I have often wondered if some of the aforesaid visitors ever wondered how fast the last leg of their journey would be if it was done by car or jeep crossing the Atlantic on a bridge than by a ferry that is usually late and very slow?

N.P.A. and GUMA- Please Buck Up, Wake Up, and Shake Up!!!! (The People are suffering!!)
Since just before Christmas last year (2011) the Electricity Supply to the area where I live deteriorated rather dramatically, and has continued on a downward trend since then. At the same time I have heard grumblings from friends and relatives in various parts of the City that they were experiencing the same problem both with the Electricity and Water Supply. Indeed it is heart rending to see small children who should be in School or getting ready to go to school wandering around most areas of the city early in the morning with 5 gallon yellow containers (rubber) looking for water.

The SLPP, in the process, has now lost the moral high ground when it comes to who is to blame for lack of political tolerance and unity in Sierra Leone. They are now equals to the APC and some APC supporters might even go as far as to say, the SLPP is worse than the APC it used to criticise.

Charles Taylor: Sierra Leone’s Scapegoat
Many readers contacted me to enquire as to why I made little, if any, mention of the Charles Taylor trial at The Hague. My response has been simple. I will not join to twist History to suit those who would want History to be twisted. Charles Taylor is just a bogeyman; an excuse created by Sierra Leoneans’ inability to take responsibility for our mad actions against each other. He is the scapegoat who has been given omnipotent powers which deep in our hearts, we know is untrue. First of all, Charles Taylor would not have had impact here if some Sierra Leoneans (mostly from the South-East), had not used the aggrieved Taylor as a tool to help them destroy our country simply because they (Sierra Leoneans) were bitter with Momoh & Stevens APC regime.
